Hengstler "Standard Industrial" rotary encoders have body sizes 36mm - 80mm, and are capable of resolutions up to 10,000 ppr with IP64/67 protection. On this page we show the smaller incremental encoders, either physically smaller or with lower resolutions and protection class. These are sometimes known as Hengstler Economy Encoders.
All Hengstler small rotary encoders are RoHS compliant, UL approved and CE marked (with the exception of the PC9 panel mount encoder).
Note that the limit of resolution combined with maximum speed may depend on the "controller" or display unt which is reading the output signals from you encoder. For more information see "Encoder Controllers" page on this site.
