
Hengstler Absolute shaft encoders comprise a series known as ACURO. All are CE marked, RoHS compliant and UL approved. Hengstler CANbus absolute encoders are available in one body size (58mm diameter) and with a wide selection of options. Choose from solid or hollow (hub) shaft; synchro, clamping or square flange, and IP64 or IP67 protection class. Suitable for single turn or multiturn with varying resolutions. You will need to specify the resolution required when ordering and whether you need single turn (ST) or multiturn (MT). The options are clearly shown in the datasheets which you can download here.
Please note that for IP67 the connection versions with a bus cover should be selected.
3 LED's show power, error and bus status. Detail is shown in the "manual" i.e installation instructions. The industry standard connection version is the bus cover with 3 sealed cable exits(Z).
Maximum baud rate 1000Kbaud, set via DIP switches with a range of 10 through 1000. Available with cable or connectors(conins). You can download the EDS file here (needed to parametise in CAN networks).
CANLayer2 predates the CANopen version which today's preferred option for new applications.
